We have published some of the most frequently asked questions about our window cleaning services, and their answers, for your convenience. If you have a question that is not answered in this section, feel free to send your question through our Contact page.
Getting your windows professionally cleaned can be quite affordable. JEDS window cleaning prices are dependent on the size, shape, number, and accessibility to the windows.
For residential window cleaning, we recommend cleaning the exterior two times per year. We recommend at least once a year for an interior cleaning unless you smoke in your home, have small children, or pets. In this case, we can work with you to maintain highly exposed windows on a regular basis. The more often you commit to having your windows cleaned, the greater savings we can offer you!
For commercial window cleaning, we offer a variety of scheduling options in order to accommodate the needs of our clients businesses. Airlocks, doorways, and other high traffic areas are generally the biggest concern for commercial properties. We eliminate that concern with scheduled visits spanning annually, semi-annually, quarterly, bi-monthly, monthly, bi-weekly, and weekly.
Professionally cleaned windows really shouldn’t spot if it rains within a few days of the cleaning. Dirt makes your windows dirty, not rain. When the dust from landscapers, tree pollen, exhaust, etc. settles on your windows, rain drops move the dirt around, and after the rain dries the dirt becomes much more visible. However, clean windows remain clear after the rain because once the pure rain water dries there is nothing to obscure your view.
We strongly recommend cleaning both the interior and exterior of your windows at the same time to see the full effect of a perfectly cleaned window. A smear or smudge on the interior not cleaned by a professional could leave you dissatisfied with your service. You will be amazed at the difference it makes!
All of our products are home-safe, pet-safe and biodegradable. We do not use any ammonia or alcohol-based solutions that could affect fabrics, paints, finishes, or flooring.
Regular professional cleaning prevents your windows from becoming etched or pitted over time. Professionals clean without leaving streaks or residue behind and have a trained eye for faulty windows. Hiring a professional also results in a time savings for you. We have all the right equipment to accomplish the job at a much faster pace with amazing quality.
Unfortunately, there is not much we can do to help with foggy windows. This is a common issue with double-paned thermal windows. Over time, the seal that keeps the gas between the panes breaks. When the gas leaks out, the moisture settles in, which results in what we call a foggy window. If the warranty is still valid, you should get your windows replaced, otherwise, you will have to replace them out of pocket.
Yes, at JEDS we offer a window restoration service that will lessen the build-up of hard water stains that have accumulated over the years on your windows. However, this treatment may NOT eliminate all traces of hard water stains on your windows. This is due to the porous nature of glass and how hard water sediment resides so deep in those pores that, in most cases, it's nearly impossible to remove all of the hard water stain.
This first depends on how quickly an appointment for an estimate is scheduled, which can be done through our Contact page. Scheduled visits for residential services generally run from an hour to two hours. Whereas scheduled visits for commercial services generally range depending on the size of the property; with small storefronts running on average thirty minutes and office buildings averaging two to three hours.
